Youth week 2025
Youth Week is a national celebration held in April each year organised by young people for young people aged 12 to 24. NSW Youth Week 2025 is taking place from 9 to 17 April.
Youth Week is an opportunity for young people to express ideas and views, showcase talents and create and participate in diverse activities.
Waverley’s 2025 Youth Week program is currently in development. Some of the highlights include:
At ‘Beach Bash ’25’ young, local emerging bands and DJs will gather at the Bondi Pavilion for a night of high energy music and fun. Echoing this year’s Youth Week theme ‘We are the future, the future is now’, the night will be packed with fresh tunes, food, refreshments and DJ sets between bands at this drug and alcohol-free event.
The following bands will be playing: Cross Pollinate, Lucid Dream, Gloss, The Tide, Baby Fever, The Mackenzies and Broken Jaw. DJs to be announced!

Time: 5:30 pm – 10 pm
Location: High Tide Room, Guya Courtyard (Chill Zone), Bondi Pavilion

At the Rising Maker’s Market, young local artisans, designers, makers and entrepreneurs can sell and promote their handmade arts, crafts, jewellery and other small business ideas.

Secondary school students with an interest or passion for the performing arts can learn how to devise and perform shows in this special program.
Participants will collaborate with professionals from Erth Visual & Physical Inc, one of Australia’s leading theatre companies, engaging in drama, storytelling and large-scale puppets, to create an original new performance at Bondi Pavilion.
Dates: Monday, 14 April to Sunday, 27 April 2025 (various dates and times apply)
Location: Bondi Pavilion
Cost: $300 fee applies for successful applicants

To celebrate Youth Week 2025, the Advocate for Children and Young People (ACYP) is running a Creative Arts Competition for young people aged 12-24 who live in NSW. Find out more and enter here.
