Citizenship ceremonies
Waverley Council holds regular in-person citizenship ceremonies for people who live in the Waverley Local Government Area. These ceremonies represent a huge milestone, marking a new citizen's official entry into the community.
Note: Ceremonies are by invitation only. Council does not manage the invitation process. The Department of Home Affairs handles the processing and approval of citizenship applications and will invite you to attend a ceremony based on your approval date. Council cannot amend, edit, change or influence this process. |
Invitations are sent by email from the Department of Home Affairs, so be sure your email and other contact details are up to date in your Immi account.

Ceremonies are held at Bondi Pavilion, at the Theatre or Seagull Room, and will include around 80 conferees. Due to venue capacity, we ask that each conferee only invites 1-2 guests to attend the ceremony. Find out more about Bondi Pavilion's venues here.
On the day, don’t forget to bring your approval letter from the Department of Home Affairs and photo identification.
