Operational Plan & Pricing Policy

The NSW Government’s Integrated Planning and Reporting legislation requires councils to develop a long-term community strategic plan. Following each council election, it is our responsibility to review the Community Strategic Plan and associated Integrated Planning and Reporting documents in consultation with the community. Our Integrated Planning and Reporting identifies community’s vision and priorities for the future of Waverley.

With the delayed local government election in 2021, Council commenced the community consultation in July 2021 to ensure all segments of our community are engaged. Following the Council election in December 2021, Council continued the community consultation and engagement program until February 2022. More than 975 community members were engaged on the vision and priorities for Waverley. Based on the community feedback we received, we drafted the Waverley Community Strategic Plan 2022-2032, Delivery Program 2022-2026 and Operational Plan. These documents were placed on public exhibition from 20 April 2022 to 18 May 2022. Council considered community feedback received during the exhibition period and adopted the documents on 21 June 2022.

The Operational Plan is a sub-plan of the Delivery Program and sets out the activities to be undertaken in each year of the Delivery Program.

The Operational Plan 2024-25, the third iteration of the Plan under the Waverley Community Strategic Plan 2022-2032 was placed on public exhibition from 30 April 2024 to 27 May 2024. Council considered community feedback received during the exhibition period and adopted the documents on 18 June 2024.

Waverley Council reports bi-annually against actions in its annual Operational Plan as a measure of progress towards achieving the four-year delivery program, and ultimately the community’s Vision.
