Bushcare

Bushcare volunteers provide an invaluable contribution to the environment and get to meet their neighbours in the stunning setting of Waverley’s coastal remnant vegetation areas.

Volunteers  improve the health of these important pockets of original vegetation, they assist in weed control, plant local native species  and improve native animal habitat.

There is no cost to be involved, no minimum commitment, nor is any gardening experience required. Introductions will be made on site (so don’t be concerned if you don’t know anyone!) and supervised children are welcome. Training, tools, gloves and morning tea are provided.

To get started, fill out the volunteer form, indicating your preferred Bushcare group.

The bushcare program will be taking a break in January and commence again in February 2026.
