Request an item

Library users can make requests for items not held in the collection to be purchased. Each request is assessed based on the library's Collection Development Guidelines.

Things to consider before submitting your request:

- Ensure that you have searched the catalogue before completing the form.
- If the item is purchased, the item will be placed on reserve for you.
- If the library decides not to purchase the item, you will not be notified. However, you can request the item from another library for a non-refundable fee of $4. If you would like to do this, please tick the box in the form and a librarian will be in touch if this happens.
- Items that have been recently published are not available for inter-library loans.
- Please tell us when you need the item by – if your request is urgent, a librarian will contact you to discuss the best option.
- Delivery times will vary depending on the availability of the material required.
- You will be notified when the item is available to collect.
- To request an item in a language other than English, complete this online form.
