Angela Burrill- Liberal Party of Australia (2012 – Present)

“My motivation has always been to make Waverley more beautiful. With my background in design, I believe that everything – even public works - can be beautiful.”

Angela has been a Councillor since 2012 and lived in the Waverley area for more than 20 years since migrating from New Zealand. She has an MBA from AGSM/UNSW, a Bachelor of Fine Art – Design, from the University of Auckland, and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Her career has encompassed General Management, Buying and Business Consulting, she has designed and developed products for major retailers in Australia, and Art Directed print and web media. More recently Angela has devoted her attention to her son Anderson born in 2017.

Currently the Coordinator of the Bondi Beach Playgroup and on the Board of Playgroup NSW, a not for profit organisation, Angela has a long history of volunteering in the community and was previously President of the Sydney Chapter of KEA, the Kiwi Expat Association, a committee member of the Australian School of Business Alumni and the Voluntary Alumni Coordinator-Sydney for the University of Auckland.

Former Chair of the Waverley Public Art Committee, Community Safety Advisory Committee and the Access Committee, Angela’s goal is to make Waverley more beautiful and she has been successful in improving waste education, advocating for better design in the public domain and increasing Public Art.
