Awards & prizes

Council directly facilities three key awards:

  • Mark & Evette Moran Nib Literary Award: One of the most valuable book awards in the country, the 'Nib' showcases the best in Australian research-based literature.
  • Waverley Art Prize: Run since 1986 with the Waverley Woollahra Art School, this local prize recognises excellence in painting, drawing, print and mixed media.
  • Waverley Youth Art Prize: Recognising the artistry of residents aged 9 to 18, entrants respond to an annual theme working in any medium of their choice.
