Waverley Council values vibrant streets and encourages local performers to apply for a Street Performance Licence to busk on our streets. Dedicated performance pitches are located at Bondi Beach and Bondi Junction. Council can authorise up to 30 licences at any one time, and each licence is valid for one year from date of issue. Apply via the online form and pick up your licence once approved from our Customer Service Centre.

Submission requirements

  • Proof of public liability insurance for $20 million
  • Proof of parental consent for applicants under the age of 16 years
  • Specification of any proposed amplification equipment is provided in the application
  • Specification of proof of ID documentation is provided in the application
