Live performance
Theatre at Bondi Pavilion aims to delight, challenge and captivate our audiences. The Bondi Pavilion Theatre, a 198-seat theatre upstairs at Bondi Pavilion, is the perfect venue with an annual offering of small theatre shows, cabaret, comedy and film screenings, all overlooking the famous Bondi Beach from the Theatre bar.
Shows also expand beyond the Theatre to other spaces at Bondi Pavilion. From the Courtyards to the Seagull Room, there are many options for theatre and film experiences at Bondi Pavilion.
Since the Bondi Pavilion reopened in 2022, the venue has presented outstanding productions including Noëlle Janaczewska’s End of Winter, re:group collective’s COIL, Merrigong Theatre’s Dear Diary and more.
Bondi Pavilion has also presented a children’s and family program including Junkyard Beats’ The Box Show, The Listies’ Rolling on the Floor Laughing as well as interactive experiences by Legs on the Wall, Windmill and AudioPlay.
Cabaret stars Reuben Kaye and Catherine Alcorn have brought joy during Mardi Gras while comedians Ivan Aristeguieta, Jude Perl, Madeleine Stewart and many more have had audiences in stitches with their clever and creative sets.
The electrifying Shaun Parker’s Found Objects has filled the Pavilion Courtyards with dance, parkour and stunning acrobatics.
Regular National Theatre Live film screenings are shown on the big screen at Bondi Pavilion, bringing top theatre from the UK and around the world into our Bondi venue.
