Pool cleaning schedules

Waverley Council maintains the pools located at Bronte Beach and North Bondi, so they are in good condition for the community to use for recreation or fitness. Because these pools are filled with water directly from the ocean, they need to be cleaned on a weekly basis. While being cleaned, they are emptied and must be closed to reduce health and safety risks. Once they are refilled to an adequate level, they are reopened to the public.

Please note that:

• Bronte Pool is cleaned weekly on Wednesdays, while North Bondi Pool is cleaned weekly on Thursdays. Each pool will be closed for cleaning for five hours before low tide.
• Cleaning times may vary due to weather, tides and surf conditions.
• If cleaning is not possible, work may be postponed and a new notice will be displayed on the pool gates to show updated cleaning times.
