Clarke Reserve

Clarke Reserve is a beautiful cliff-top grassed area that offers panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding sandstone cliffs. It is a popular location for whale watching during the migration season between May and November.

The reserve is home to Clarke Reserve Playground, which includes play items to suit kids of all ages, including a spinner and five-way swing set.

Public facilities

Play equipment: Yes.

Toilets: Christison Park. Refer to toiletmap.gov.au.

Parking: Limited on-street parking. Mobility bay parking on Clarke St.

Pets: Dogs allowed on leash. No dogs within 10m of playground area (see map below).

Events & Hire

For formal gatherings (e.g. wedding), corporate activations, larger groups, or filming/photography, refer Venue Hire options.

Prohibitions

  • Alcohol prohibited area.
  • Ball games prohibited.
  • Bicycles and skateboards prohibited.
  • Dogs prohibited within 10m of children’s play areas.
  • No charcoal, solid fuel barbecues or open fires.
  • No camping or staying overnight.​
  • No smoking within 10m of playground.
