Beach parking permits

Beach parking permits provide the opportunity for unlimited parking in Queen Elizabeth Drive and Park Drive at Bondi Beach and in Bronte Cutting at Bronte Beach. Parking is not guaranteed but on a first come first serve basis.

Beach parking permits are available to both residents and visitors.

Permits for Beach Parking

• A discounted beach permit for residents and/or ratepayers. Option for 12 or 6 month permits. Permit is linked to a specific vehicle registration.
• A beach permit for visitors (people who live outside the Waverley Council Local Government Area). Option for 12, 6 or 3 month permits. Permit is linked to a specific vehicle registration.
• A beach permit for non-resident Active Patrolling Surf Club Members. Permit is for 12 months. Permit is linked to a specific vehicle registration.
• A beach permit for teachers who work permanently (part or full time) at a primary or secondary school within Waverley Council Local Government Area. Permit is for 12 months but limited to the hours of 7.30am to 6pm Monday–Friday during school terms. Permit is linked to a specific vehicle registration.
• A replacement permit for any of the above if lost, stolen or damaged. A replacement fee is also applied if you change address and/or vehicle details.

Note: permits can only be issued to vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of 4.5 tonnes or less and cannot be issued to trucks, trailers, boat trailers, caravans or any vehicle with a length greater than 6 metres. Unregistered vehicles are not eligible for a permit.
