Parking meters
Waverley Council operates a network of parking meters in commercial areas and at its beaches to help manage the demand for parking.
All metered locations in Waverley are Pay by Plate except for the below which are pay by space:
- Bondi Beach Queen Elizabeth Drive
- Bondi Beach Park Drive North
- Bondi Beach Park Drive South
Please note:
- Tickets will not be printed from any Council-owned meter. You no longer need to display a ticket on your vehicle’s dashboard. Download your invoice for paid parking sessions.
- All parking meters accept coins and secure credit card payment, as well as payment using new PayPass, Paywave and mobile payment technology.
- Council operates large metered parking areas at Bronte Beach (Bronte Cutting) and Bondi Beach (Queen Elizabeth Drive and Park Drive). Frequent visitors may benefit from a beach parking permit
- You can access live availability of parking and pay for metered parking using the Park’nPay app
- Council also operates three car parks.
Park’nPay
The Park’nPay app makes payment and top up of metered parking more convenient and is available in 18 Sydney councils. There is no need to walk up to the meter to pay and you can top up your existing parking with few taps on your mobile.
The app will keep you notified when your parking is about to expire and registered customers can keep track of their parking history. Park’nPay can also provided automated email receipts.
There are a total of 25 suitable ‘drop-in’ zones throughout Bondi Junction, Charing Cross and Bondi Beach close to shops and businesses. These spaces are convenient for quick errands and drop offs and pick ups. Look for the 15P signs. Where they apply, a meter ticket is not required.
All parking meters in the commercial areas of Bondi Junction will be switched off at 6pm. Please note that time restrictions still apply in metered areas so please ensure that you check parking signs carefully.
Please note that you still need to adhere to any time restrictions on your parking space, so please ensure you read the relevant parking sign carefully before finalising your payment.
All parking meters in Queen Elizabeth Drive and Park Drive North and South will be switched off at 7pm. Please note that time restrictions still apply in metered areas so please ensure that you check parking signs carefully.
Please note that you still need to adhere to any time restrictions on your parking space, so please ensure you read the relevant parking sign carefully before finalising your payment.
