A 0.8% fee applies to all credit card transactions.
If you own land, a home or business within the Waverley local government area (LGA), you will be required to pay rates to Council.
The income collected from rates is used by Council to provide essential infrastructure and services such as roads, footpaths, parks, sporting fields, playgrounds, stormwater drainage, swimming pools, community centres, cycle ways, public amenities and Waverley Library.
You can choose to pay your rates in full as stated on the rate notice by 31 August each year, or by quarterly instalments.

The following certificates and permits are available online:

- Section 603 Rating Certificates
- Section 735A & 121ZP Outstanding Notices or Orders

- Road Opening Permit

Apply online, with customers wishing to do multiple certificates advised to register first to make the process faster.

Some Council fees including parking permits, planning applications and registration and inspection fees can be paid online using your Payment Reference Number.

Note: Payments details must be accurately transcribed for the payment to be correctly processed.
Payment of fees
- A Pay Advice for hire fees will be emailed to the hirer periodically to the email address provided.
- Hire fees are due 28 days prior to the commencement of your activity.
- Full payment must be made as Council do not accept part-payments.
- In person payments must be made through the Waverley Council Customer Service Centre, 55 Spring St, Bondi Junction, NSW 2022. Alternate methods are detailed below.
Payment methods
- Online payments may be made by BPOINT. Please have your Pay Advice Number to hand (this is the number starting with 400 on the Pay Advice).
- For Credit/Debit Card payments, call the Customer Service Centre on 9083 8000 and an officer will take details of the payment.
- Other options include cash / cheque / money order / Credit Card or EFTPOS payments.
- Cheques are to be made payable to Waverley Council and should be posted to PO Box 9, Bondi Junction, NSW, 1355.
- Customers are advised that a 0.8% fee applies to all Credit Card transactions.
Cancellations by hirers
- Should the hirer wish to cancel or change their booking/s, they may do so by notifying the Venue Officer in writing, with 14 day’s notice. If less than 14 day’s notice is received 50% of the fee is non-refundable and will be invoiced.
- Breaks within bookings must be no longer than two weeks within a 10-week booking period.
