Children, youth & family services
Council is committed to supporting families by fostering a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for individuals at all stages of family life. A wide range of education and care options ensures that everyone in the community feels informed and supported.
Council supports a range of services to help meet the needs of children, families and young people in the community, including offering more than 230 centre-based places for children aged 0-5, along with over 100 Family Day Care places.
Did you know? Council’s strong and unique involvement in services for children and families dates back to the 1950s, when baby health centres were introduced to help post-war mothers with advice on health, nutrition and child development. |
