Ross McLeod, General Manager Waverley Council has tendered his resignation effective February 26, 2021.  The impact of the COVID 19 pandemic and travel restrictions on his family has led to the decision to return to New Zealand.

Mayor of Waverley, Paula Masselos said,

“Ross has made a significant contribution to Council over the past three years, particularly in building capability in the organisation, changing the work culture for the better, and dealing with pandemic impacts.

“I know he is sorry to be leaving at this point but has made a decision to put his family first; a decision I completely understand.

“It has been a pleasure to work closely with Ross on continuing to build the organisation to provide high quality service to our community while implementing best practice management, financial and operational processes.”

Council will consider arrangements for an acting General Manager and a process to find a replacement in February.
