Movies in the Park wet weather update

Waverley Council’s free Movies in the Park community event continues this month with everyone’s family-friendly blockbusters:

• Saturday 18 May – Minions: The Rise of Gru – Waverley Park- Training Field 3 (enter via Birrell Street (rescheduled – new date)
• Saturday 25 May– Happy Feet – Kimberley Park, Vaucluse (rescheduled – new date)

Unfortunately, our screening of Wonka on Saturday 11 May at Varna Park has been cancelled due to the weather. We do hope to see you at our other screenings!

There will be free popcorn from around 5pm and movies will screen at sundown.

Grab your picnic rug and BYO picnic/dinner and settle in for a great night of entertainment. No glass or alcohol permitted.

Mayor of Waverley, Paula Masselos, said Movies in the Park had become one of the Council’s most popular free events for families, especially given the cost of living at the moment.

“Our free movie screenings are a great way to entertain the kids and meet your neighbours,” Mayor Masselos said.

“Mark these dates in your diary, and we hope to see you there”.
