COVID update: As lockdown continues, I would like to encourage the Waverley community to continue to follow all current Public Health Orders (PHOs), continue to get tested and vaccinated, wear masks and practice social distancing.

Waverley Council is asking residents to hold on to unwanted items while the current stay-at-home orders are in place. Although many recycling services are closed because of the Public Health Orders in place, there are still a few options available if you can’t hold on to your unwanted items.

An Extraordinary Meeting of Council will be held by video conference/at Waverley Council Chambers, Cnr Paul Street and Bondi Road, Bondi Junction at 6.00 PM, TUESDAY 29 JUNE 2021 to consider an emergency economic support package in response to COVID-19 outbreak for Waverley businesses, and associated delegations.

In response to stay-at-home orders announced by the Premier this morning for the Waverley, Woollahra, Randwick and City of Sydney LGAs, effective from 11.59pm tonight until 11.59pm, Friday 2 July, Waverley Council has taken the additional steps to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and help keep the community safe.

Due to Waverley Local Government Area being at the centre of this most recent COVID-19 outbreak, Waverley Council has made the difficult but prudent decision to cancel many of its sporting, recreational and cultural activities.
