Graffiti incident at Bondi Beach

18 November 2021 | Media Release

18 November 2021

Waverley Council has no tolerance for acts of vandalism in our public places. We are especially disappointed that a section of the Head On photo festival display at the southern end of Bondi Beach was graffitied sometime last night.

Head On celebrates the work of emerging and established Australian photo-artists and Council is a supporter of the festival. This is the second year that Council has hosted a Head On exhibition along the Bondi Beach promenade. Council will be paying to replace the damaged section of the exhibition.

Our Public Place Cleansing team is removing the graffiti and the matter has been reported to the police. We are here to assist with any of their inquiries.

If you have information relating to graffiti vandalism, know of persons responsible for graffiti in your area, please contact NSW Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. To lodge a request for removal, call our Customer Service Centre on 9083 8000 or download the free Snap Send Solve app so that we can remove the graffiti as soon as possible.
