Friends of Waverley Cemeteries
The Friends of Waverley Cemeteries is a community group whose members enjoy maintaining and promoting these special sites.

Walking tours
Discover the rich history of Waverley Cemeteries with weekly walking tours led by the Friends of Waverley Cemeteries. On a walking tour, you'll learn about prominent writers, artists, political figures, activists and sporting heroes, while bringing to life the everyday people interred at the cemetery.
All monies raised from the tours goes towards memorial restoration work.
- When: Every Saturday, 9:00am–10:30am
- Cost: $25 per person
- Bookings: Purchase your ticket via Eventbrite
Things to note:
- Attendees should wear comfortable walking shoes, bring water and wear sunscreen.
- Refunds are not available, however rescheduling tours can be arranged.
- Due to the location of the cemetery and the walking involved, this tour is not suitable for young children or persons with mobility issues.
